A little bit about who we are and why we’re here.

Making a Difference

We’ve earned some great recognition over the years for what we do!  CDM was voted Service Provider of the Year by the Autism Society of Ventura County,  granted the Award of Distinction (2015-2016) by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, and accepted as part of the Carelon Autism Preferred Provider Network (previously known as Beacon).  We are thrilled to be entering our 17th year providing outstanding services for families with kids with special needs!

What Sets Us Apart?

We are unique in that we believe parents should be active participants in their child’s intervention program.  While we use evidence-based treatment methods, when it comes to intervention, “One size does not fit all.” In order to provide families with intervention programs that are specifically tailored to a family’s needs, we work hard to develop each program to the special circumstances each family brings to the table. Family members are considered a vital part of the intervention team.  As a result, we are able to create effective, individualized intervention programs which are more likely to meet the specific needs of your child. From families who have just received a diagnosis to those whose young adults are blazing new trails to college and beyond, we are here for the journey.

Our Values

We believe in empowering parents through training and education so that they can provide an environment that nurtures and supports the intellectual and emotional growth of their child with special needs. We believe that the strongest advocate for a child is the parent which is why at Children’s Developmental Milestones our focus is on “Helping parents help their kids”.

Collaboration is an integral part of our philosophy. We value parent input as well as that of other allied healthcare providers you are working with such as Speech, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychology services, and of course your child’s primary care physician. We work as a team to make recommendations on behalf of your child that help facilitate the best possible progress and integration.
