Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks provides a great website with a wealth of resources and information.  The Family Services section provides the 100 Day Kit which was created specifically for newly diagnosed families, to make the best possible use of the 100 days following the diagnosis of autism.

Parent Support Group

PAUSE4kids is a local non-profit advocating and providing opportunities for kids with disabilities.  Monthly support groups offer advice, advocacy, and support for parents of children with special needs.  This support group generally meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month and is open to the public free of charge.  If you plan to attend, please call their office or check their website to make sure there are no schedule changes.

Ventura County Autism Society

VCAS is operated by volunteers who have gained first-hand knowledge and experience regarding our school systems, local and state services, doctors and other service providers in our area. By joining VCAS, you can share in this knowledge through chapter meetings and discussions with other members.

Therapeutic Riding

Ride On provides equine related therapy to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.  They serve over 170 riders each week at two ranches located in Chatsworth and Newbury Park.
